Astein began his journey as a Health and Physical Education Teacher, later assuming various administrative roles in the Osseo Area School district, including Assistant Principal and Director of Educational Equity. Throughout his distinguished career, he has held key leadership positions, including Superintendent of St. Louis Park Public Schools, where he led successful initiatives and implemented innovative models. Recognition and Awards: In 2023, Astein was honored with the Region 9 Administrator of Excellence award by the Minnesota Association of School Administrators, highlighting his significant contributions to education.
